Disney Publishing Worldwide Launches ‘Star Darlings’

Disney Publishing Worldwide has announced the launch of a new multiplatform property called ‘Star Darlings.’
This property features 12 unique girls who encourage tweens to celebrate individuality, make positive choices, and show they can make any wish a reality.
The North American launch includes two novels and other Star Darlings content will include a storytelling and lifestyle app, music from Walt Disney Records, an animated series of shorts on YouTube, and a fashion dolls line created with JAKKS Pacific that will be sold at Justice stores.

Disney and Mylan Announce Food Allergy Awareness and Resources Partnership

Disney and Mylan recently announced the launch of new food allergy awareness resources that feature Disney content and programming.
These resources have been designed to help families that are living with severe and potentially life-threatening food allergies understand the importance of anaphylaxis awareness. The multi-media content include a new website – MyAllergyKingdom.com – a storybook, cookbook, and even food allergy-friendly events at this year’s Epcot Food and Wine Festival.

Disney Junior Orders Second Season of Hit Series ‘Miles from Tomorrowland’

Disney Junior has ordered a second season of its hit animated series Miles from Tomorrowland.
The series is currently the number one television series on preschool networks for kids ages 2-5 and boys ages 2-5.
Miles from Tomorrowland tells the story of Miles Callisto and his family as they work together to connect the galaxy for the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. Space and science facts are incorporated into every episode.

Disney Consumer Products Launches ‘Star Wars Rebels’ Product Line

The newest Disney XD animated series, Star Wars Rebels, debuts October 13 and to celebrate the launch Disney Consumer Products has a new line of products.
The Star Wars Rebels line of products includes action figures, spaceships, lightsabers, apparel, and accessories, and more for a new generation of Star Wars fans. The products will be sold by Hasbro, LEGO, Mad Engine, Rubies, and Jay Franco.

Disney Publishing Worldwide Announces Storyteller Apps Now Available for Android Devices

Disney Publishing Worldwide has announced that Android smartphone and tablet owners can now download and enjoy interactive storytelling apps from Disney including digital storybook, activity, and creativity apps.

Disney Legend Marty Sklar to Meet Fans at Several Events at Disneyland and Walt Disney World

Disney Legend and retired Imagineering executive Marty Sklar has authored a new book Dream It! Do It!: My Half-Century Creating Disney’s Magic Kingdoms.

LeapFrog Releases Disney E-books

LeapFrog, in partnership with Disney Publishing Worldwide, has just announced the release of two new Disney e-books: Doc McStuffins: Rundown Racecar and Wreck It Ralph: Sugar Rush.
Developed for LeapFrog by Disney, these new e-books are available in the “Just for Fun” section of LeapFrog’s App Center. They retail for $5.

Disney Publishing Worldwide Moves Employees to California

Disney Publishing Worldwide moved the majority of their employees to White Plains, NY just shy of 5 years ago, and now they will be embarking on another move – transferring over 100 employees to Glendale, CA.
The employees transferring to Glendale will be located close to Disney’s headquarters, as well as Disney Consumer Products and Disney Interactive. The employees transferring to CA are mostly upper management positions as well as employees from the digital, content creation, global magazines and licensing units.
