Disney, Marvel, and Oral-B Collaborate on New Disney Magic Timer App by Oral-B

Getting kids to brush their teeth for the recommended amount of time is often a daily challenge for parents. But now, there’s an app for that.
Oral-B has teamed up with Disney and Marvel to create the Disney Magic Timer App by Oral-B that will help kids increase their brushing time.
Dentists recommend brushing for at least two minutes, but most kids don’t spend more than one minute brushing their teeth. The Disney Magic Timer App is designed to help parents extend the brushing time for their kids.

Stan Lee Media Sues Disney for Copyright Infringement

Despite the fact Disney bought Marvel for $4 billion in 2009 – and has earned profits off Stan Lee’s characters since – there is one company that claims Disney has breached copyright law.
Stan Lee Media Inc. (SLMI), formerly affiliated with Lee, filed a complaint stating the copyright to Marvel’s characters belongs to them, not the Walt Disney Company. In the complaint, SLMI states that Stan Lee signed over the copyright for Marvel properties and characters to SLMI in 1998 – before signing them over to Disney one month later.

Marvel Characters Coming to Middle East Theme Park

For the first time since acquiring the comic book company in 2009, Disney will finally be introducing Marvel characters into a theme park setting.
According to sources, the Marvel Adventure family entertainment center (which will be part of the City of Arabia entertainment and residential district in Dubailand) will comprise 8 acres and be an indoor miniature theme park. There will be superhero themed attractions, restaurants and shops and the park will feature many recognizable Marvel characters like the Avengers, Spider-Man and more.

Disney Working on Bringing Marvel Characters to its Theme Parks

During Tuesday’s annual meeting, Bob Iger, the president and CEO of The Walt Disney Company told attendees that the company is busy planning ways to bring Marvel characters, as well as other characters that appeal to boys, into Disney theme parks.
Rumors of bringing Marvel characters to Disney Parks have been hinted at since 2009, when Disney acquired the comic company. So far, only Marvel merchandise has made an appearance at any of the parks – but that might not hold true for long.
