The Week in Disney News: New Nighttime Show at Disney Springs, Gingerbread Displays, and More

starbrightHappy weekend before Thanksgiving! The holiday season is in full swing at the Walt Disney World Resort. Let’s check out the latest news.

Disney Springs launched a brand new nighttime show, Starbright Holidays. This all-new show is the first of its kind and features 300 Intel® Shooting StarTM show drones in the sky above Disney Springs.

Since it is the holiday season, guests can check out all the gingerbread displays at the Disney World hotels.

The popular Gingerbread Holiday Castle is already up at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Guests will find the display on the Grand Canyon Concourse. Once again the display is inspired by Disney’s Frozen and feature Mary Blair-inspired characters. Be sure to look for the 16 hidden Olafs.

Disney Parks celebrated Mickey Mouse’s birthday on November 18 with special birthday-themed treats at Disney World and Disneyland.

A new Disney Gift Card eGift is available, making holiday shopping at Disney even easier!

Three holiday television specials are planned on ABC and Disney Channel beginning Thanksgiving night!

And finally, for the 20th consecutive year, the Atlanta Braves are returning to the ESPN Wide World of Sports for spring training in 2017.
