Next month, D23: The Official Disney Fan Club will begin selling tickets to next year’s D23 Expo which will run from August 9 to 11, 2013.
The expo is the largest Disney fan event in the world and brings together all parts of The Walt Disney Company in one place, including The Walt Disney Studios; Walt Disney Parks and Resorts; Disney Consumer Products; Media Networks and Disney Interactive.
In anticipating of bigger attendance numbers next year (last year’s expo brought together more than 40,000 Disney fans,) the 2013 expo will feature an overflow theater to accommodate over 2,000 guests who will be able to watch live streaming of various Arena presentations. Additionally, the presentation venue Stage 23 will nearly double in size while an expanded show floor and a larger Collectors’ Forum will be available.
The 2013 D23 Expo will showcase Disney stars as in all previous expos, as well as the Disney Legends Awards. An all-new Fan Art Contest, themed after the 50th anniversary of Mary Poppins, will also be one of the exciting events featured. As with previous expos, Disney fans can also look forward to celebrity appearances, special live events, panels and presentations and lots more that celebrate the past, present and future of Disney.
Tickets officially go on sale August 9, 2012 and will be available for a discounted price through December 31 – $47 for a one-day adult admission and $37 dollars for a one-day admission for kids 3-12. D23 fan club member prices are $40 for a one-day adult admission and $32 for a one-day child admission. Tickets are also available for multi-day prices for both the general public and fan club members. D23 members also have the option of purchasing the exclusive VIP Sorcerer Package.
