Walt Disney World Announces July 4th Special Events and Fireworks

Are you going to be in Walt Disney World to celebrate July 4th this year? To prepare for the upcoming holiday, Walt Disney World recently released its schedule of special events for the Fourth of July, and guests looking for a fantastic fireworks celebration will certainly not be disappointed, with three of the four parks pulling out all the stops to deliver something truly special for this patriotic day.

At the Magic Kingdom, guests will be able to enjoy “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky,” a patriotic fireworks spectacular that salutes America’s forefathers. The spectacular display will take place at 9:00 PM on July 4th, but guests who wish to celebrate the holiday a day early can enjoy the show on July 3 at 9:00 PM as well.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will celebrate the holiday with the all-new “Rockin’ 4th of July Celebration.” In a show that combines fireworks, lighting, and special effects, rocking band “Mulch, Sweat, and Shears” will take to the stage at  Disney’s Hollywood Studios to celebrate America through song, with a musical road trip across the country that spotlights different regions’ contributions to rock and roll. The show will begin at 9:45 PM, following a showing of “Fantasmic!” at 9:00 PM.

Epcot will be celebrating with a special “Heartbeat of Freedom” enhancement to the park’s nightly spectacular “Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.” The special holiday section will use a selection of traditional American themes together with pyrotechnic and laser light effects, creating a truly epic and spectacular patriotic celebration. During the day, guests can also celebrate at the park’s American Adventure Pavilion, where guests can enjoy the special “Voices of Liberty Fourth of July Concert” and have a meet-and-greet with Betsy Ross, Benjamin Franklin, and some favorite Disney characters all dressed up for the holiday in patriotic outfits.
