Walt Disney World Resort Relocates Some Hotels Guests Ahead of Hurricane Matthew

hurricanWalt Disney World Resort has relocated guests at several hotels as Hurricane Matthew moves closer to the eastern coast of Florida.

Guests at Fort Wilderness campground, Disney’s Polynesian Village bungalows, and the Saratoga Springs Treehouse Villas were moved to other lodging on property.

The guests in campers and RVs at Fort Wilderness were reportedly moved to one of the Magic Kingdom parking lots.

As of press time, Disney World has also made some changes to events including closing Blizzard Beach today and tomorrow, closing Typhoon Lagoon tomorrow, and canceling the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue for today and tomorrow.

The Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party planned for tomorrow (October 7) has also been cancelled, and Characters in Flight at Disney Springs is closed through Sunday.

Orlando is currently under a Hurricane Warning and Disney is operating on a “wait-and-see” basis with regard to park hours.
