Award Winning Imagination Movers Gets Renewed for 3rd Season

Disney Channel’s Emmy Award winning kids show “Imagination Movers”, has been renewed by Disney for a 3rd season, with production starting in New Orleans in Summer 2010.  The new season will also feature a live concert episode that will be filmed as well during the season filming in New Orleans.
Currently the show airs in over 55 countries, and in 12 different languages, and has been in TV’s top 15 list for preschoolers since the show debuted in 2008.

Demi Lovato to Guest Star on Grey’s Anatomy

Disney star Demi Lovato tweeted the news to fans a couple of days ago: she landed a guest star spot on hit TV show Grey’s Anatomy.
‘Getting up early tomorrow morning to begin a week of fulfilling one of my biggest dreams…’ her twitter feed read, which was followed the next day by: ‘For all of you amazing patient people… I’m so thrilled to announce that this week I’m shooting Grey’s Anatomy!!!!!!!!’

Epcot Italy Pizzeria and Cantina de San Angel Concept Art Released

Exciting news out of Walt Disney World’s Epcot — concept art for the expanded Cantina de San Angel and for the upcoming Italy Pizzeria restaurant have been released!
The Italy pizzeria, currently nameless, will be a 300-seat, brand new restaurant with both indoor and al fresco dining.

The Cantina de San Angel will be an expanded version of the old counter-service building, and is rumored as having both counter-service and table-service options. This restaurant will seat 400 across its indoor and outdoor seating areas.

Angelina Jolie Rumored in Maleficent Role

Rumors are flying about Angelina Jolie’s potential involvement in Disney’s upcoming live-action film, Maleficent. The story will tell Disney’s classic “Sleeping Beauty” tale from the villain’s perspective.
Both Tim Burton and Angelina Jolie had last spring been rumored to join the project, which Disney has been kicking around for a while as a way to mine its library, among other things. 3 New Kingdom Hearts Games Confirmed

IGN.com is reporting that Tetsuya Nomura, creator of the video game series “Kingdom Hearts”  has confirmed the development of 3 new games in the series, including the much anticipated “Kingdom Hearts 3”.  There is however no set timetable on KH3, as Nomura is also on the creative development team for a new Final Fantasy title that is due out this year.

Off Kilter – One of Epcot’s Best!

If you have ever been to Epcot and walked past Canada in World Showcase, then odds are you’ve at least heard Off Kilter. Alice Writer Hired To Pen Maleficent

Disney has hired Linda Woolverton, the scriptwriter for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland to write the upcoming live-action Maleficent, a remake of Disney’s animated Sleeping Beauty from the villain’s perspective.
This choice is being seen as a part of Disney’s campaign to sign Tim Burton on for director of the film. No deal has been made with Burton, yet, but the hiring of Woolverton is the first concrete step forward in its development.
Woolverton has also written for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King.

2 Buses Crash At Disney World; Several Injured

Two buses have crashed near a toll booth close to Walt Disney World’s Epcot Theme Park. One driver has been critically injured and taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
In total, a dozen people were taken to the hospital and one man is facing criminal charges.
The Florida Highway Patrol says Tuesday’s crash involves a Walt Disney tour bus and a chartered bus. One bus rear-ended another on Epcot Center Drive at about 2:30 p.m.

Undercover Tourist Releases New iPhone App

Businesswire has reviewed Undercover Tourist’s new application for the iPhone, and it gets a thumbs up.  The app, which is called “Undercover Tourist Wait Times”, is much more than the basic wait time app, and is very interactive, featuring maps with integrated, up to date wait times and descriptions of attractions.  The option is also available for users to purchase theme park tickets directly from Undercover Tourist.  It also takes advantage of a new “Locate me”, “Find a friend” and “Where did I park” feature.
