New ‘Show Your Disney Side’ App Lets You Transform Into Disney Characters

If you have ever wondered what you’d look like as Maleficent, there’s an app for that.
Disney has introduced the Show Your Disney Side app that allows users to transform themselves into popular Disney characters including an X-Wing Pilot from Star Tours – The Adventure Continues, a pirate from Pirates of the Caribbean, Anna from Frozen, and even Maleficent.
Guests who use the new app at Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort can use the app to unlock special Haunted Mansion characters.

Disney Launches ‘Toy Story: Smash It!’ Mobile Game

Continuing their tradition of producing popular mobile games, Disney Mobile has recently launched another title to their roster: Toy Story: Smash It! 
Based on the popular film franchise, the 3D puzzle game immerses players into the magical world of toys and lets them play as Buzz Lightyear. There will also be encounters with other familiar faces from the movies, including Woody, Jessie, Hamm and Rez. With four episodes and 60 levels of play, the game will culminate with an epic battle against the evil Zurg.

Disney/ABC Launch ‘Super Speedway’ App

Disney/ABC Television Group are launching a new app: Disney Super Speedway.
The app, available on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, is a new racing game where players can race animated characters from popular Disney shows like Phineas and Ferb, Gravity Falls and Fish Hooks, among others.
Players can choose from three starting characters and earn credits that allow them to unlock additional characters as the game progresses. Disney’s ‘Where’s My Water?’ App Gets ‘Frankenweenie’ Makeover

Disney’s Where’s My Water? mobile app recently celebrated its one year anniversary, and will be getting a Frankenweenie-inspired makeover just in time for the Halloween season.
Today, Disney released 10 new levels of gameplay for free, which feature spooky music, black & white coloring and a cameo from Sparky, the dog from the film who comes back to life. Additionally, players will be able to obtain icons and collectibles while they play.
The app is available for the iPad, iPod touch and iPhone as well as Android devices.

Disney/ABC Launch ‘Fish Hooks’ App

Disney/ABC’s Digital Media Team have launched a new app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch based on the Disney Channel series Fish Hooks.
The new game features Milo the fish and his buddies from Freshwater High. During the game, players take on the role of Milo and must beat the crab – Randy Pincherson’s – elaborate obstacle course. Disney’s ‘it’s a small world’ App Gets Updated With Additional Languages

Disney’s Storybook App based on the classic “it’s a small world” attraction has been updated with an additional six languages.
This sing-along app features plenty of interactive activities for little ones and is a good way to keep them entertained. Now, the app features the sing-along in six new languages: Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Swedish and Spanish.
The app is available for the iPad, iPod touch and iPhone.

‘My Disney Experience’ App Now Available for Download

Disney’s new My Disney Experience app is now available for download. This new app promises features and technology previously unavailable on any Disney park touring app. Coupled with the new wi-fi availability at the Magic Kingdom, this is another step in the NextGen direction for Disney.

Disney Releases More Live T.V. Apps for Comcast Subscribers

In late May, The Walt Disney Co. announced plans for a mobile app that would enable Comcast subscribers to watch Disney Channel on the go. Now this app, along with two additional apps, have been released and available to consumers.
These new mobile apps are not available to those who are not currently subscribed to Comcast, and can only be purchased as a bundle. Additionally, these mobile apps can only be purchased by subscribers who pay for bundles of channels together on a monthly plan.

Disney Cruise Line Investigates Alleged iPhone Theft

Disney Cruise Line has placed an employee on administrative leave while they investigate claims that an iPhone was stolen from a passenger earlier this year.
A woman claims her phone was stolen while she was a passenger on board the Disney Wonder in April. She says she was able to track down the thief because all of the photos that were taken with the stolen phone were uploaded to Apple’s Photo Stream.
