Disney Channel fans have a lot to look forward to this fall. This week, Disney Channel announced the official premiere date of their new show Dog With a Blog, as well as the premiere date for Season 2 of the hit Disney Channel show Austin & Ally.
Austin & Ally, which debuted last year, will begin its second season on Sunday, October 7 at 8:30 PM/7:30 central. In the premiere episode, “Costumes & Courage,” Austin is scheduled to sing a duet with a famous pop star at his new record label owner’s Halloween party, but Ally is forced to step in when the pop star can’t sing after all. Fans of Austin & Ally can also look forward to a special crossover episode of the show this season with the hit Disney Channel series Jessie.
Dog With a Blog is a brand-new Disney Channel show that will be premiering on Friday, October 12 at 9:40 PM, following the premiere of the new Disney Channel Original Movie Girl Vs. Monster. The series will then air new episodes in its regular time slot of Sundays at 8:00 PM beginning November 4.

In the premiere episode, Bennett adopts a shelter dog in the hopes that it will inspire Tyler and Avery to get along and bond over taking care of him. That happens – to some extent – when the kids discover that their seemingly ordinary dog can talk. From that moment on, Tyler and Avery agree on one thing: Stan’s ability to speak must be kept a secret from everyone, even their parents. As the kids learn to work together to keep Stan’s secret safe, they soon find that his canine point of view, whether in the home, in the yard or in the park, helps them navigate their new sibling situation and, ultimately, becomes the tie that binds the family.
