Disney Gives Sneak Peek at Pandora: The World of Avatar

If you tuned in to the Disney Parks’ Christmas special Sunday morning you had a chance to see the sneak preview of the new Avatar-themed land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Pandora: The World of Avatar is slated to open in the summer of 2017 and if the preview is any indication, it looks to be amazing.

Disney Springs is home to several celebrity chefs and now they’re adding one more to the team. Guy Fieri, star of Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, has teamed with Planet Hollywood Observatory to create the restaurant’s burger and sandwich menu.

‘Avatar’ Creators James Cameron and Jon Landau to Join D23: Destination D Panel

D23: Destination D: Amazing Adventures takes place November 19-20 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and two big names have been added to the presenter list.
Avatar creators James Cameron and Jon Landau will be joining Imagineer Joe Rohde for the Pandora – The World of AVATAR presentation. This presentation will focus on the 12-acre land that is currently being built at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
D23: Destination D will also feature a conversation with Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, plus a sneak peek of Moana from screenwriter Jared Bush.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Earns $1 Billion at Global Box Office in Just 12 Days

Star Wars: The Force Awakens just keeps breaking box office records.
The latest record set by the film – earning $1 billion at the global box office in a mere 12 days. That breaks the previous record held by Jurassic World which earned $1 billion in 17 days last summer.
As of December 27, the film earned $544.6 million at the domestic box office and $1.09 billion worldwide.

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Panel at D23 Expo Gave Fans a Peek into What is Coming to the Disney Parks

This year’s D23 Expo was full of surprises and big announcements including the addition of Star Wars Lands at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, but there’s more than just Star Wars in the works.

Avatar Land Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2015

Despite internet speculation that Avatar Land is in trouble, Disney CEO Bob Iger says the project is still very much underway – and can be expected to open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park sometime in 2015.
During Disney’s annual shareholder meeting last week, Iger announced the estimated target date during an question and answer session, but few details have been released about this 500 million dollar project. James Cameron Visits the Disneyland Resort for Avatar Land Inspiration

We let you know a few weeks ago that James Cameron was spotted at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom Park to get inspiration for the park’s upcoming addition, a themed land based on the film Avatar. James Cameron’s ‘AVATAR’ to Make Its Home at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

What began as rumor early today has now been confirmed:  as of this writing, Disney is announcing a partnership with James Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment and Fox Filmed Entertainment to bring Cameron’s visionary story, AVATAR, to life at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom.
According to a press conference being held presently at Walt Disney Imagineering, Cameron and his producing partner, Jon Landau, will serve as creative consultants on projects highlighting the characters and experiences in the film.  No word yet on what an attraction might look like, but it “will take our guests deep into …
