New Merchandise Arriving at Disney Parks Featuring Captain America and other Marvel Superheroes

Disney Parks is releasing a new line of Marvel-themed merchandise just in time for the upcoming release of Captain America: The Winter Solider on April 4.
In early April an Opening Day Limited Edition 2000 “shield” inspired pin is arriving at Disney pin locations. The pin opens to reveal Captain America, the first Avenger.

Marvel Entertainment Announces New Line of Helmets Featuring Superheroes

Marvel Entertainment has announced the release of a new line of helmets featuring some of their top superheroes.
The news comes quick on the heels of the announcement of the company’s new line of Marvel Super Hero bikes and tricycles from Huffy.
The new line of helmets will feature cutting edge 3D designs that incorporate bold colors and stylized imagery of Marvel’s heroes including the Avengers and Spider-Man. The 3D features will use the hero’s icons, including Thor’s winged helmet and Captain America’s indestructible shield.

Marvel’s ‘The Avengers’ to Appear on Food and Oral Health Products as Part of New Marketing Campaign

The Avengers are headed to a kitchen and bathroom near you.
Marvel Entertainment LLC has announced that it is introducing The Avengers brand into food and oral health aid categories in an effort to expand the reach of the superheroes into the consumables arena.
Marvel is working with companies including Nabisco, Perdue, Crunch Pak, Langers Juice, DenTek, and Listerine to bring new products to store shelves throughout the next year and beyond. The idea is to present The Avengers as a year-round brand.

New Details and Dates Released for Marvel Superhero Movies

Disney revealed yesterday an updated release schedule for several of its Marvel superhero movies.  The studio said that Iron Man 3, starring Robert Downey Jr., would be released in 3-D.  The film was already scheduled for a May 3 release.  It will be followed on Nov. 8 by a sequel to Thor, which is now officially titled Thor: The Dark World, and will also be released in 3-D.
Fans can then look forward to the 2014 releases of Captain America: The Winter Soldier on April 4 of that year, and …

‘Captain America’ Sequel to Begin Filming Next Year

Sources have announced that Marvel Studios will begin filming Captain America: The Winter Soldier next year. Portions of the filming will take place in Cleveland, OH.
Louis D’Esposito, Co-President, Marvel Studios said:

Disney’s Club Penguin Traffic Soars Due to ‘Avengers’ Event

Disney’s Club Penguin, a hugely popular virtual world for kids, has seen record traffic numbers since the launch of their Avengers-themed event: Marvel Super Hero Takeover, which launched on June 14 and ends today.
Disney Interactive says that since the event, twenty million play sessions have been logged across 200 different countries on Club Penguin. The company also says that the Marvel event has helped double the site’s daily players.

Disney’s Club Penguin – the number one virtual world for kids – are hosting an online event based on some of your favorite Marvel characters.
Marvel Super Hero Takeover begins today (June 14) and lasts until July 3. During this epic event, players can dress up as one of 14 different Marvel Super Heroes or Super Villains, including Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, The Incredible Hulk and Loki.

Russo Brothers in Final Negotiations to Direct ‘Captain America’ Sequel

The executive producers of Community and Happy Endings, Joe and Anthony Russo, are currently in final negotiations to direct the Captain America sequel.
Chris Evans will be reprising his role as the title character, and Samuel L. Jackson has also been confirmed to return as S.H.I.E.L.D. leader Nick Fury. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the scribes who worked on the first film, have also created the script for the sequel.
Captain America 2 will debut in theaters April 4, 2014.

Disney Announces ‘Avengers’ Sequel

With Disney’s The Avengers breaking box office records – grossing $207.4 million in its opening weekend – it’s no surprise that Disney officially announced plans for a sequel yesterday.
After the disappointing profit loss from John Carter, Disney was counting on The Avengers to make up for it. It’s safe to say that this film, which has earned more than $700 million worldwide, has done just that.
