Disney Golf Offering One-Day Holiday Golf Camps for Kids in December

During the Christmas holiday season, Disney Golf is hosting a series of one-day golf camps for kids.
The special junior golf camps are scheduled for December 22, 23, 29, and 30 at Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Participants will receive PGA instruction in all aspects of the game including putting and on-course play. The junior golfers will receive prizes and have a chance to play games while learning the basics of the game of golf. Kids ages 7-17 can register for the camps. Registration can …

Tranquilo Golf Club Opens at Four Seasons Resort Orlando

The Tranquilo Golf Club at Four Seasons Resort Orlando is officially opened.
The 18-hole championship course was originally Disney’s Osprey Ridge, a Tom Fazio-designed course that was built in 1992. The new course features enhancements including a completely new hole, renovated bunkers, improved visibility, and a fully renovated clubhouse.
The course is a Par 71 and each hole features four sets of tees to accommodate any skill level.

Arnold Palmer Golf Management to Take Over Walt Disney World Courses

Disney announced today that it will turn its five Walt Disney World golf courses over to a third party for management.  It will mark the first time in the resort’s 40-year history that the courses will be run by an outside entity.
Arnold Palmer Golf Management will take over the day to day operations of each of the five courses – The Palm, The Magnolia, Osprey Ridge, Lake Buena Vista, and Oak Trail – on September 25.  Each of the approximately 330 Disney employees impacted by the move will be offered jobs …

LPGA Golfer Paula Creamer Celebrates in Walt Disney World

LPGA golfer Paula Creamer, who won the 2010 United States Women’s Open, celebrated her 24th birthday this week… Disney style! Riding on a custom Mickey Mouse golf cart, Paula enjoyed the beautiful greens of Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista on August 9th. Fresh from the win of the 2010 U.S. Women’s Open last month at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pa. Creamer had a lot to celebrate!
