Marvel Characters Coming to Middle East Theme Park

For the first time since acquiring the comic book company in 2009, Disney will finally be introducing Marvel characters into a theme park setting.
According to sources, the Marvel Adventure family entertainment center (which will be part of the City of Arabia entertainment and residential district in Dubailand) will comprise 8 acres and be an indoor miniature theme park. There will be superhero themed attractions, restaurants and shops and the park will feature many recognizable Marvel characters like the Avengers, Spider-Man and more.

Activision Publishing & Disney to Develop ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Video Game

Yesterday, Activision Publishing and Disney Interactive announced a collaboration to create a Wreck-It Ralph video game. The video game will be created as a classic arcade-style stroller featuring Ralph and is meant to be a story extension to the upcoming Disney film of the same name.

Three Character Posters Released for Disney’s ‘Frankenweenie’

There has been a lot of new information coming down the pipeline for Disney’s and Tim Burton’s upcoming flick Frankenweenie, and now three new character posters have been released to further hype the film.

Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel Lend Their Voices to Disney’s Animated Film ‘Frozen’

Disney’s CGI-animated film Frozen, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Snow Queen, will feature Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel as part of the voice cast.

New Hidden Mickey Pins to Be Released at Disney Parks This Summer

A slew of new Hidden Mickey pins will be released at Disneyland Resort and The Walt Disney World Resort in the next few weeks, which is big news for pin traders. Julie Young, a developer for the Hidden Mickey pins, shared her excitement over the new designs saying:

Disney to Launch Phineas and Ferb Mobile Game

Capitalizing on their success with the mobile game Where’s My Water, Disney will be launching a Phineas and Ferb-themed version of the app titled Where’s My Perry.
From what we know of the game at this point, the new version will star Perry the Platypus. Your job is to help Perry guide flowing pipes of water to enable him to escape from his predicament. The new version will also feature special power ups called “Crazy-inators” which can transform the water into steam, ice, or back to a liquid again.

‘Brave’ Earns #1 Spot at Weekend Box Office, Takes In $66.7 Million

This weekend, the latest Disney/Pixar film, Brave, made its debut in theaters, and Pixar has reason to celebrate once again. The film took the number 1 spot at the box office this weekend, beating out such other films as Madagascar 3 and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
While analysts projected that Brave would only take in between $55 and $60 million domestically this weekend, the film greatly surpassed expectations. The film ended up taking in $66.7 million at the domestic box office and an additional $13.5 million internationally, putting its grand opening …
