13: Reflections of Evil Trading Event Set for Friday, September 13

This fall, the 13: Reflections of Evil trading event is set to take place in World Showcase at Epcot from September 13-15, and Disney recently released images of some of the merchandise that will help tell the story.

Updates Announced for the Disney Magic

The Disney Magic is headed to dry dock in September and will emerge with some magical updates including new spaces, reimagined areas, and new adventures throughout the ship.
The ship will feature a new atrium lobby with an art deco design inspired by the sea. The three deck lobby will include custom made carpets, a chandelier inspired by the sun’s rays, a grand piano, and portholes the recall the early 20th century ocean liners. The centerpiece of the lobby is a cold-cast bronze statue of Helmsman Mickey.

Special Limited Time Magic Day Announced for May 4 at Hollywood Studios

On May 4, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is presenting a special “May the Fourth Be With You” Limited Time Magic Event for “Star Wars Day.” This event is separate from the Star Wars Weekends, which don’t start until May 17.
During this day-long event guests will have a chance to experience special Star Wars entertainment, characters, merchandise, a dance party, and a Star Wars themed fireworks show. Kick Off a Monstrous Summer with a Three Park ‘All-Nighter’

Disney’s Monstrous Summer kicks off next month when three Disney theme parks will stay open for 24 hours on Memorial Day Weekend. The Magic Kingdom, Disneyland, and Disney California Adventure will be open from 6 a.m. local time on May 24 until 6 a.m. local time May 25.
The announcement of this first ever Disney parks “All-Nighter” was made last night at Epcot as Spaceship Earth was transformed into a 180-foot-tall animated Mike Wazowski, the lovable one-eyed monster star of Disney/Pixar’s Monsters University.

Walt Disney Voices Mickey Mouse in Never-Before-Seen Animated Short

Walt Disney Animation Studios announced that a never-before-seen animated short is debuting June 11 at the Annecy Animation Festival in Annecy, France. The thing that makes this film so special is that Walt Disney is the voice of Mickey Mouse!
In the hand-drawn, black and white animated short Get A Horse!, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and their friends Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow are enjoying a musical wagon ride until Peg-Leg Pete tries to run them off the road.

‘Shake It Up’ Star Bella Thorne Pens New YA Series ‘Autumn Falls’

Bella Thorne – 15-year-old singer, dancer, and actress perhaps best known for her role as Cece Jones on Disney Channel’s hit television series Shake It Up – has just signed an agreement with Delacorte Press. (Books published by Delacourte include such popular titles as The Iron Thorn and the Fallen novels). Get Ready for Monster-size Fun at the Walt Disney World Resort

Today the Walt Disney World Resort announced their Monstrous Summer plans that include fun for the entire family.
The Monstrous Summer celebrates the June 21 release of Disney/Pixar’s Monsters University, and in addition to the newly wrapped Monsters U monorail, guests will also experience all-new collegiate settings when the meet Mike and Sully. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios the meet and greet area on the Backlot has been transformed into the Monsters University Student Union. At the Magic Kingdom, guests will hear all new jokes at the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor.

New HARVEYS Seatbeltbag Collection Coming to Disney Parks This Summer

Fans of the HARVEYS for Disney Couture Seatbeltbag collection have another reason to start saving their money – a new collection is debuting this summer at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland.
The new design is called “Disney Patchwork” and is essentially a “mashup” of Disney prints and will include several different patchwork designs. The dangle that appears on the bag includes charms of Mickey’s hand, foot, shorts, and ears.

Introducing the Disney Gift Cards Sunglasses Series

Disney announced a new limited time series of Disney Gift Cards this week – the Sunglasses Series. What makes these cards different than other Disney Gift Cards? Well, each card’s design is unique to the theme park that is reflected in the character’s sunglasses. And, you can only get that particular card in that particular park.
The Mickey Mouse card is only available in the Magic Kingdom, Minnie Mouse can be found at Epcot, Daisy is hanging out at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Pluto is having fun at the Animal Kingdom. …

‘Monsters University’ wrapped monorail debuts at Walt Disney World

It’s official! The “Monsterail” – the monorail wrapped to promote Disney/Pixar’s Monsters University – made its debut Wednesday on the Magic Kingdom Park and Resorts loop.
The monorail’s wrap features Mike Wazowski, James P. Sullivan, and other Monsters University students appearing in windows. Some of the students are holding banners or pennants for various Monsters University organizations such as the Oozma Kappa fraternity. The back of the monorail features the MU logo.
This is the second wrapped monorail at Walt Disney World – the Iron Man 3 monorail debuted last month.
