Applications are now open for the 2018 class of the Disney Dreamers Academy at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Each year, 100 high school students from around the country are selected to participate in the Disney Dreamers Academy with Steve Harvey and ESSENCE.
The outside-the-classroom mentoring program takes place each March at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Students in the program will learn valuable skills including communication techniques, leadership, and networking strategies. The program also features guest speakers who give participants tips and insight on how to dream big.
Applicants must answer essay questions about their personal journey and their dreams for the future. Students are selected based on several attributes including: “strong character, positive attitude and determination to achieve their dreams.”
Applications are open to high school students in the United States, ages 13 to 19 and will be accepted through October 31. Selected participants will be announced in early 2018.
