The outside-the-classroom educational mentoring program takes 100 students each year to participate.
The Disney Dreamer Academy works to inspire and fuel the dreams of teen and helps them prepare for the future. The students chosen for the program will have the chance to participate in hands-on, full-immersion workshops related to varying careers paths.
Applicants for the program must answer three essay questions about their personal stories, the most influential people in their lives, and their dreams for the future. Students are selected based on attributes that include strong character, positive attitude, and a determination to achieve their dreams.
Last year close to 10,000 students applied for the program.
Participants chosen for the program and their parent or guardian will receive an all-expense paid trip to the Walt Disney World Resort for the program on March 5-8, 2015.
Applications are open to high school students in the U.S. ages 13-19.
