D23’s Destination D: Celebrating Mickey Mouse Announced for November 17-18 at Disney World

destination dD23’s Destination D: Celebrating Mickey Mouse is scheduled for November 17 and 18 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort at the Walt Disney World Resort.

The event is described at the “the ultimate birthday celebration honoring 90 years of the mouse that started it all!.”

Destination D is open to D23 Gold Members and their families.

Tickets are $215 per person (plus $7 processing fee), and tickets will go on sale on Thursday, April 12, at 11 a.m. PT. (2 p.m. ET). There are also Mouseketeer VIP Level: $1,300 per person (plus $7 processing fee) and these go on sale Thursday, April 12, at 10 a.m. PT. (1 p.m. ET).

An early check-in will take place on November 16 and will include:

  • Mickey’s of Glendale—The Walt Disney Imagineering store returns with a pop-up shop at the event for attendees, featuring a selection of exclusive Walt Disney Imagineering merchandise as well as limited-edition pins, apparel, and collectibles themed to the event.
  • Mickey Marketplace—For the first time ever, a Mickey Marketplace will be found inside Disney’s Contemporary Convention Center—exclusively available to Destination D attendees, a handful of retailers will offer limited Mickey-branded products.
  • Walt Disney Archives—Access to an exclusive exhibit curated by the Walt Disney Archives celebrating Mickey Mouse.

These three locations will also be available to attendees throughout the weekend.

The actual event will take place inside the Fantasia Ballroom and according to D23’s, the event will feature details about Mickey Mouse’s “imaginative past, adventurous present, and boundless future” with presentations and panels from Imagineers, historians, cast members, and artists.

Presenters and panelists for the weekend include: Legendary Disney Animator Mark Henn, Voice Actor Bret Iwan, Disney Legend Bill Farmer, Imagineers Jason Grandt, Wyatt Winter, and Alex Wright, Animator John Pomeroy, and Walt Disney Archives Director Becky Cline.

Panels and presentation for the weekend include: A Mouse in Shorts: Animating Mickey Through the Years, Catching Up with Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Collecting Mickey, the True Original, Hidden Mickeys: Uncovering the Magic of Disney Storytelling, Weird Disney: The Early Mickey Years, Mickey’s Movie Night, and much more.
