‘Henry Hugglemonster’ to Debut on Disney Junior April 15

In 2011, we let you know that a new Disney Junior show was in the works by Disney and Brown Bag Films. Now, the long-awaited series will finally be making its debut in the US, as it was recently announced that Henry Hugglemonster will debut on Disney Junior April 15.

The new series, which is aimed at children ages 2-7, focuses on Henry Hugglemonster, a 5-year-old middle child in a happy, close-knit monster family. Through Henry’s adventures and everyday encounters, children will learn positive life lessons about family and community relationships.

Bringing the new show to life will be the voice talents of Lara Jill Miller (“Doc McStuffins”) as Henry; Tom Kenny (“Spongebob Squarepants”) as Daddo and Grando; Lori Allan (“Family Guy”) as Momma; Hynden Walch (“Teen Titans”) as Summer; Chiara Zanni (“My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic”) as Cobby; and Kari Wahlgren (“Phineas and Ferb”) as Ivor. Guest voice stars on the series will include Spice Girls member Geri Halliwell as Isabella Roarson, a spirited and popular monster popstar, and Academy Award-nominated Brenda Blethyn, OBE (“Atonement”) as Ernestine Enormomonster, the mother in a family of giant monsters.

Produced in Ireland by the two-time Academy Award-nominated animation studio Brown Bag Films, Henry Hugglemonster made its initial television debut in the United Kingdom last month. Over the course of the year, the series will be rolled out to more than 150 countries worldwide, and will officially debut in the US on Monday, April 15 at 5:00 PM EST/PST.
