New Renderings for Fantasyland Expansion Debut, Behind-the-Scenes Look at Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid

Work is well underway on the brand new Fantasyland Expansion coming to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park, and each new update we get makes us even more excited for the brand-new area. A few days ago, we brought you new details that emerged about the expansion’s “Storybook Circus” area, and more information recently emerged about Maurice’s workshop in the Beauty and the Beast experience area of the expansion as well. Now, Walt Disney Imagineering has released some new artist rendering images, giving us an exciting glimpse into some of the other experiences and attractions that the expansion will bring. While obviously specific details about these new attractions have yet to be decided and plans are subject to change, based on these images, we can’t wait to visit the area in person. Walt Disney World guests will be able to visit New Fantasyland beginning in late 2012, when the area will begin opening in phases.

Here’s a new look at the Be Our Guest Restaurant, a new dining experience for Beauty and the Beast fans that will be found inside Beast’s Castle.

This image displays the new experience Enchanted Tales with Belle, where guests can hear her famous “tale as old as time” from the Disney Princess herself.

Goofy will be the star at the Great Goofini attraction, a children’s rollercoaster that will be found in the “Storybook Circus” area.

This week also brought an exciting behind-the-scenes look at Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid, a Little Mermaid-themed attraction coming as part of the new expansion, courtesy of the Disney Parks Blog. An expanded version of the video will soon make its debut at the Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream attraction in Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park. Check out this great look at the Imagineers’ process of bringing this new attraction to life:
