‘Disney Channel Rocks’ to Retire at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in April

Two live entertainment experiences available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be closing soon, a spokesperson confirms.
The Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun parade, as well as the Disney Channel Rocks show will both be ending performances at the park as of April 6. No replacement has been announced as of today’s date.
The Pixar Pals parade features many characters from such films as Ratatouille, Toy Story, Up, The Incredibles, and Monsters, Inc. The rolling show debuted in 2011, when it replaced Block Party Bash.  Disney Rocks, on the other hand, is a …

Carbon-Freeze Me Experience Coming to Disney’s Star Wars Weekends

This year at Disney Hollywood Studios Star Wars Weekends, guests will be able to indulge in a new experience called the Carbon-Freeze Me, where your likeness will be turned into a carbonite figurine to take home. How cool is that?
Located next to the American Idol Experience, guests can visit the Carbon Freezing Chamber where several cameras will capture various angles of your face. The images are then sent to a computer where they will be reconstructed for processing, and in about a month you will receive your 8″ figurine.

Phineas and Ferb’s Play ‘N’ Greet Experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Pushed Back

In early April, we told you about Phineas and Ferb’s play ‘n’ greet experience coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios later this month. Now, sources say their originally scheduled appearance starting May 16 has been pushed back several weeks.
While a new date has not been released as of this writing, a representative for the pair said that there were some scheduling conflicts, and Phineas and Ferb will be in school when their play ‘n’ greet experience was originally scheduled to begin.

Celebrity Guests Announced for Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The celebrity guest appearances for Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios have been announced, and Star Wars fans will undoubtedly be very pleased with the lineup.
The event, which will take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from May 20 to June 12, 2011 at Walt Disney World, will feature plenty of fun and excitement to celebrate the grand opening of the revamped Star Tours ride with many celebrity guests from the Star Wars world.

Disney to Sell Power Rangers

The Disney Company has sold the popular kid’s franchise “Power Rangers” back to its original owner Saban Entertainment.  The New York Times is reporting the sale and offers some speculation on why Disney made the decision:
“The franchise came to Disney in 2001 as part of the purchase from Saban and Fox of what is now the ABC Family cable channel.
