Walt Disney World Resort Announces Merchandise Events for June 2015

The Walt Disney World Resort is hosting a slate of exciting merchandise events this month.
June starts with a special artist showcase at the WonderGround Gallery in the Marketplace Co-Op on June 5 and 6 with artist Joey Chou. The showcase is scheduled for June 5 from 5-7 p.m. and June 6 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Joey will also be at Star Wars Weekends this weekend.

New Tenants Coming to Disney Springs Including Nationally-Known Retailers

As the transformation of Downtown Disney to Disney Springs continues Disney has recently announced a slate of high-profile tenants for the Town Center area.
A total of 13 new tenants were announced, including eight retail stores including Zara, Lilly Pulitzer, PANDORA, and Tommy Bahama.
“Over the past few months we have opened several new dining and retail locations, which have quickly become the top producers in their chains,” said George A. Kalogridis, president of Walt Disney World Resort. “This type of momentum builds on the historical strength of the Downtown Disney area …

This Week in Disney News – Food & Wine Festival News, D23 Exhibit, and Disney Springs Update

As we near the end of the first Star Wars Weekend for this year, we hope everyone had a great time celebrating all things Star Wars at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Town Center is Next Phase of Disney Springs Transformation Project

As the transformation of Downtown Disney into Disney Springs continues, the next phase of the project will be the Town Center.
This is a new district that will be created within Downtown Disney/Disney Springs and is currently under construction in an area that used to house a parking lot.
The stores that will occupy Town Center will be bigger than those open in The Landing.
The shops planned for the Town Center will reportedly be bigger, national brands but Disney isn’t saying anything specific about potential tenants.

Twenty Eight & Main Collection Coming to Disney Parks

A new collection of merchandise “designed for the discerning gentleman who enjoys visiting the Disney Parks” is set to debut later this year.
The collection will feature merchandise designed with patches, appliques, and other embellishment techniques to create a classic and stylish vibe.
The Twenty Eight & Main collection will feature short and long-sleeve shirts, vintage T-shirts, hats, and accessories including drinkware, D-Tech phone cases, and travel items.
Guests will notice that the merchandise will feature nods to attractions, shops, shows, and characters from the Disney Parks.

Walt Disney World Resort Announces May 2015 Merchandise Events

The first day of May is tomorrow and the Walt Disney World Resort has announced the special merchandise events for the month.
Two popular artists are at Walt Disney World Resort at the beginning of the month – Greg McCullogh is at the Art of Disney in Epcot from now through May 3 and Larry Dotson is at the Art of Disney in Downtown Disney from now until May 3.

Downtown Disney Transformation to Disney Springs Includes Pedestrian Bridges and a Marvel Store

The transformation of Downtown Disney into Disney Springs is continuing as more stores and restaurants are opening and construction seems to be non-stop.
In recent weeks guests have seen The BOATHOUSE open at The Landing in addition to the opening of several new stores including Sound Lion and Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC.
One store that has kept guests guessing is the old United World Soccer storefront. The windows of the old store now feature Marvel characters including Star Lord and others, and a sign that says “Coming Soon: Superhero Headquarters.

This Week in Disney News – Allergy-Friendly Menus, ‘Star Wars’ Trailer, and Frozen Summer Fun

Spring is in full swing at the Walt Disney World Resort as the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival continues, but the House of Mouse is also gearing up for the ‘Coolest Summer Ever’!

The Boathouse: Great Food, Waterfront Dining, Dream Boats Opens at The Landing in Downtown Disney

The newest signature dining location is now open at The Landing in Downtown Disney.
The BOATHOUSE: Great Food, Waterfront Dining, Dream Boats officially opened on April 13 and features a menu that focuses on steaks, seafood, and chops.
The upscale, signature dining menu includes a raw bar that serves up to five varieties of oysters and Anastasia Gold caviar sourced from a farm in Pierson, Florida.
Other items include the BOATHOUSE Lobster cocktail with a pound and a quarter of lobster, a rotisserie chicken, a 28-ounce Porterhouse steak, and the already almost-famous $115 …

Two new Dooney & Bourke Collections to Debut at Marketplace Co-Op

Two new Disney Dooney & Bourke collections are debuting this month at Cherry Tree Lane in the Marketplace Co-Op at Downtown Disney.
The first collection is called ‘Runway Princess’ and features Disney Princesses. The design is similar to the purple collection sold at this year’s Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend.
The new Runway Princess collection features full-color princesses on a black background and includes a zip satchel for $228, a wallet for $198, a Pouchette for $148, a letter carrier for $178, and a shopper tote for $268.
