As we near the end of the first Star Wars Weekend for this year, we hope everyone had a great time celebrating all things Star Wars at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
It’s been another busy week of Disney news so let’s dig in!
This week saw a big announcement about the 2015 Epcot Food & Wine Festival! For the first time ever the Festival will feature food allergy-friendly culinary demos thanks to Disney and Mylan, the company that produces the EpiPen® Auto-Injectors.

Speaking of parties (sort of), this week is the 24-hour party at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. We got a sneak peek at the Dopey-themed merchandise that will debut at Disneyland for the party!
D23 is celebrating its 2015 Expo this summer and the official Disney fan club just announced “Disneyland: The Exhibit” will be part of the festivities at the Expo. It’s all part of the Diamond Anniversary Celebration for Disneyland!
Back at Walt Disney World, we have some news about the ongoing Disney Springs transformation. First, a new bar is headed to The Landing this fall and it has an Indiana Jones theme. Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is set to open later this year and if you’re wondering “who is Jock Lindsey?” … well, he’s Indy’s pilot! We can’t wait to see this watering hole!
The next phase of the Disney Springs project is the Town Center and this area will be home to larger, nationally-known retailers. Check out DisZine tomorrow to see more about the retailers headed to Disney Springs!
In other merchandise news, a new line for men is coming to the Disney Parks this fall – Twenty Eight & Main will feature apparel, D-Tech phone cases, drinkware, and more. And in September, the new merchandise line for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will debut on September 4, which is being called ‘Force Friday.’
