Director Andrew Stanton Comments on ‘John Carter,’ ‘Finding Nemo 2’

Last spring, Walt Disney Studios released John Carter, a sci-fi film helmed by Pixar director Andrew Stanton that went on to become one of Hollywood’s most high-profile flops in recent history. This week, Stanton reflected on his experience with the film in his first interview since the film’s release.

Video: Trailer Released for ‘Monsters, Inc 3D’

While the upcoming Disney/Pixar film Monsters University will not debut in theaters until next summer, Disney fans only have to wait a few months to see Mike and Sully on the big screen once again. This December, Monsters, Inc. will return to theaters in 3D, and in anticipation of the film’s rerelease, Disney released a new trailer for the film this week, which highlights some of our favorite scenes from the 2001 film.

Speakers Announced for Pixar Cruises This Fall

A few months ago, we let you know about some very special Pixar cruises that will be taking place aboard the Disney Wonder this fall. This week, Disney Cruise Line released the schedule of speakers on these exciting cruises, which includes various creative team members at Pixar Animation Studios, including the head of Pixar himself, John Lasseter.

Disney Parks Chairman to Serve as Keynote Speaker at the Orange County Business Council’s 2012 Annual Dinner

Yesterday, it was announced that Thomas Staggs, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, will be the keynote speaker for the Orange County Business Council (OCBC) 2012 Annual Dinner. Presented by Bentley Prince Street and Kaiser Permanente, the annual dinner will be held at the Hyatt Regency Irvine on February 9, 2012.

Disney CEO Bob Iger Joins Apple’s Board

On Monday, it was announced that President and CEO of The Walt Disney Company Robert A. Iger would be taking on a role as a member of the board of Apple, Inc. Arthur D. Levinson also became Apple’s new chairman, succeeding Steve Jobs, who passed in October.
In a statement, Levison said he was “honored to be named chairman of Apple’s board” and welcomed Bob Iger to the team.

Sneak Peek: New ‘Toy Story’ Short ‘Small Fry’

When The Muppets officially debuts in theaters on November 23, it will not only mark the return of our favorite Muppet characters to the big screen, but our favorite Toy Story characters as well. Walt Disney Studios has finally announced more information about what they will be bringing to the D23 Expo, and it looks like Expo attendees will have a lot to look forward to. Disney Sets Release Dates for Untitled Films, Includes Marvel and Pixar

Disney set release dates for some of their upcoming films today, including films from Marvel Studios and Pixar Animation Studios. What the upcoming films will be, however, is something that Disney has still yet to reveal.
