Walt Disney Studios’ Live-Action ‘Cinderella’ Hits Theaters in March 2015

The latest live-action adaptation of a classic Disney animated film, Cinderella, will arrive in theaters in the spring of 2015.
The film, directed by Academy Award nominee Kenneth Branagh (Thor, Hamlet), tells the story of Ella played by Lily James (Downton Abbey). After her mother’s death Ella’s father remarries and Ella must welcome her stepmother and stepsisters into the family home.

Adventures by Disney Announces ‘Big Hero 6’ Additions to San Francisco Long Weekend Itinerary

The Adventures by Disney Long Weekend trip to San Francisco, California will now feature excursions inspired by the all-new Disney animated film Big Hero 6.
The film takes place in the fictional town of San Fransokyo which was inspired by San Francisco.
The Adventures by Disney weekend in San Francisco takes guests to landmarks including Muir Woods and includes a tour of the Walt Disney Family Museum and a trip to Lucasfilm.

New International Poster, Trailer Released for Disney's 'Frozen'

Recently, we showed you the teaser trailer for Disney Animation Studios' upcoming film Frozen. However, this week brought a different look at the film, with a new poster and trailer released for international audiences.

First-ever ‘Á La Mode’ Costume Contest Planned for D23 Expo

This year’s D23 Expo will be celebrating fans’ enthusiasm for dressing up as their favorite Disney characters in a whole new way – with the first À La Mode Costume Contest.
The contest – named after Edna Mode from The Incredibles – will shows fans’ creativity through costumes inspired by Disney. Following the success of Disney’s Tangled in 2010, it looks like director Byron Howard will soon return to helm another Disney film. It was reported this week that Walt Disney Animation Studios is currently working on a new animated film, which will be directed by Howard and star Jason Bateman.

‘The Lion King’ in 3D Earns #1 Spot at Weekend Box Office

Did you head to the movie theater to see The Lion King in 3D this weekend? If you did, you certainly weren’t alone, as Disney announced that the film took in roughly $29.3 million at the box office domestically this weekend.
