The Week in Disney News – New Tickets Prices, Star Wars Land Updates, and More

starwars artist renderingHappy weekend! It was another exciting week of Disney news so let’s dive right in and check out the biggest stories of the week!

The biggest news of the week is the announcement of the new seasonal/tiered ticket pricing at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. The new system will feature value, regular, and peak seasons with different prices for 1-day theme park tickets for each season.

Under the new system a 1-day ticket to the Magic Kingdom will cost $124.

Last Sunday night The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60 television event included a highly-anticipated announcement about the Star Wars-themed lands coming to both coasts.

We learned that a new attraction will give guests the chance to board the Millennium Falcon and pilot the ship, “steering the vessel through space, firing laser cannons.”  The First Order will also be part of the experience and guests might find themselves in battles between the Stormtroopers and Resistance fighters.

In sports news, the Atlanta Braves have started their 19th Spring Training season at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Tickets are on sale now for the games!
