Walt Disney Japan and Partners Collaborate to Create a Very Disney Holiday in Japan

Walt Disney Japan and a couple of partners have collaborated to give Disney fans and citizens in Japan the chance to experience a magical holiday season.

Working with Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd., and Mitsubishi Estate Building Management, Disney Japan produced Happiness Town Projects that featured Disney-themed building takeover at the Yokohama Landmark Tower and in Tokyo’s Marunouchi business district.

The project was named Bright Christmas 2013 and runs through Christmas Day in Tokyo.

The Bright Christmas display in the Marunouchi business district features a Christmas tree decorated with ornaments featuring Disney characters and an augmented reality attraction that allows guests to interact with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

At the Yokohama Landmark Tower visitors get to experience “Happy Christmas featuring Disney’s The Little Mermaid” which is screened on a projection display on the 69th floor of the building.

Adding to the holiday theme, one of Japan’s leading mobile phone operators – NTT Docomo – has introduced a new Disney-themed smartphone, Disney Mobile on Docomo F-03F. The phone launched two new apps – Disney 101 Art Gallery and Tokyo Disney Resort History.
