Upcoming Disney Film ‘The Hill’ to be Based On Disneyland’s Matterhorn Bobsleds

It looks like another Disneyland attraction will soon be heading to a movie theater near you. Disney is developing a new film inspired by the Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland Park, currently titled The Hill. The film will be written by screenwriter Jason Dean Hall, and produced by Tron Legacy and Prom producer Justin Springer.
This announcement only continues Disney’s current trend of producing theme park attraction-based films. Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise, based on the popular Disneyland and Walt Disney World attraction, has grossed $3.7 billion worldwide over four …

Four Seasons Delays Hotel Opening at Walt Disney World

Guests who are eager to stay at the Four Seasons when visiting Walt Disney World will have a little longer to wait.
The upscale hotel company originally announced in 2007 that it would open a new property in Orlando, with an opening date in 2010.  However, plans to build the hotel were first hindered by the sluggish economy.  Later, delays occurred as initial plans had to be reworked when it was announced that the Four Seasons would be a focal point for Disney’s ultra-affluent new subdivision, Golden Oak.  At this point, reports …

Take a Virtual Tour Through ‘Cars Land’

We are really excited to explore Cars Land when it opens at Disney California Adventure in 2012.  But in the meantime, Disney Parks is giving fans the opportunity for a peek at what’s to come with the brand new attraction.  Debuting today, you can get a feel for just what ”Radiator Springs” will look like.  The virtual drivethrough features all your favorites, from Luigi’s Flying Tires, to the Cozy Cone Hotel.

Tom Hanks Confirms More Toy Story to Come – in Two Separate Interviews

We may not have seen the last of Woody and the Gang.  Yippee!
Recently, Tom Hanks was interviewed by the BBC regarding the release of his latest film, Larry Crowne.  As the subject came around to Toy Story, the interviewer asked if Hanks’ new granddaughter would get to see a fourth installment to the critically acclaimed and wildly popular Disney Pixar franchise.  Hanks’ response:
“I think there will be, yeah. Yeah, yeah. I think they’re working on it now,”

Star Sighting:  ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘Private Practice’ Stars Visit Walt Disney World

The good doctors may have been on vacation, but that didn’t stop Mickey and Minnie from making a “mousecall” on them.
Chandra Wilson, who portrays Dr. Miranda Bailey on ABC’s hit series, Grey’s Anatomy, and Audra McDonald, who plays Dr. Naomi Bennett on the network’s Private Practice, just happened to be at Walt Disney World at the same time recently.  The two joined Mickey and Minnie, who dressed up in their medical finest, for a good-natured photo shoot in front of Cinderella’s castle.

Fantasmic! to Show Seven Nights a Week During Summer Months

Due to popular demand and the anticipation of high numbers of visitors throughout the busy summer season, Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World will begin showing its popular nighttime spectacular Fantasmic! seven nights a week.  From July 3 through September 30, guests will (hopefully!) have an easier time snagging seats at this very popular show, which takes place in an outdoor theater.
The event, which combines water, special effects, pyrotechnices, and lights, along with special scenes from beloved Disney films, is normally featured multiple times each evening.  For more details …

‘Brave’ Teaser Trailer Officially Released Online

Excited for Disney/Pixar’s Brave? Be sure to watch the stunning teaser trailer for the film, which made its internet debut today. The trailer is currently being shown in movie theaters prior to showings of Cars 2, but Disney/Pixar officially released the trailer today online, giving fans who haven’t seen Cars 2 yet a taste of what to expect when Brave makes its debut on June 22, 2012.

‘Cars 2′ Beats Box Office Expectations, Grosses $68 Million in Opening Weekend

Well, it looks like Pixar has another major success on their hands. Disney/Pixar’s Cars 2, which opened in theaters nationwide on Friday, took in $68 million at the domestic box office this weekend, making it the 12th consecutive Pixar film to hold the #1 spot at the box office on its opening weekend.
Prior to its opening weekend, Hollywood prognosticators had predicted that the film would open in the $50-$55 million range, citing the less-than-favorable critical reception that the film has received. Currently, the film holds a 33% rating on RottenTomatoes.com, …

‘Muppets: The Green Album’ To Debut August 23, Track Listing and Cover Art Announced

Can’t wait for the upcoming film The Muppets to come out this Thanksgiving? Don’t worry, we can’t either.
