Three-Day Charity Walk Planned for This Fall at the Walt Disney World Resort

This November the Walt Disney World Resort will, for the first time ever, be host to a three-day charity walk sponsored by For A Cause. The Walk The World event is part of the A Walk Around The World Fundraising Walking Event series and is planned for November 14-18.
For A Cause is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that plans multi-day charity walks in vacation destinations. All participants are allowed to walk for the charity of their choice.
The Walk the World event is a walk-only fundraiser and is limited to 50 participants. …

‘Mickey and the Magical Map’ Opening May 25 at Disneyland

Mickey Mouse and some of his most magical friends are embarking on exciting musical adventures in the all new Mickey and the Magical Map live show that opens next month in the newly refurbished Fantasyland Theater at Disneyland.

May Merchandise Events Announced for Walt Disney World Resort

Walt Disney World Resort recently announced upcoming merchandise events for the month of May and fans of pin trading, Vinylmations, and even Precious Moments dolls might want to grab a calendar.
This Friday, May 3, Betsy DePadova, Disney Design Group Artist, is scheduled to appear at Disney’s Pin Traders in the Downtown Disney Marketplace from 5-7 p.m. to sign the latest 2013 series pin and Vinylmation releases. Disney Named America’s Most Reputable Company

This week, it was announced that The Walt Disney Company has earned the distinction of being named America’s Most Reputable Company, as reported by Forbes. The honor was determined through an independent study done by the private consulting firm Reputation Institute.
Disney came out on top in the online study, which was designed to determine consumer perception of 150 of the largest companies through measuring the perception of each organization’s products/services, innovation, workplace, citizenship, governance, leadership, and performance. Walt Disney World Cast Members Take Positive Approach to Health

In an effort to get – and keep – Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members off the couch, Disney launched the cast Couch to 5K Plus program a couple years ago as one of the many wellness options offered by the company.
The program aims to help Cast Members become more active and includes personalized training plans, online resources, and coaching.

Johnny Depp Reportedly In Talks for ‘Into the Woods’ Film

Disney fans may know Johnny Depp best for his role as Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, or even as Tonto in the upcoming film The Lone Ranger. New Race, Challenge, and Medal Announced for Princess Half Marathon Weekend

Are you planning to run next year’s Princess Half Marathon in Walt Disney World? First Trailer Released for ‘Thor: The Dark World’

Last week, we showed you the first poster for Marvel’s upcoming film Thor: The Dark World. However, Marvel fans were in for an even bigger treat this week, as the first trailer for the film was officially released.
The new trailer gives us our most complete look at the film yet. In addition to Chris Hemsworth as the mighty Thor, we also see the return of Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), and get our first look at Christopher Eccleston as the film’s villain, Malekith.

New Parade to Debut at the Magic Kingdom in 2014

Disney’s Magic Kingdom is getting a brand new parade in the spring of 2014, according to an announcement made yesterday at the “Monstrous Summer” press event.
The parade, named the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, celebrates New Fantasyland with innovative parade floats, vibrant costumes, and an all new original soundtrack featuring songs from Disney films and a theme song for the parade.
Stories highlighted in the parade include The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, Dumbo, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Tangled, and Disney/Pixar’s Brave.
