Disneyland Resort Announces Trio of Opening Dates for Summer Season

25 February 2011 No Comment

Patient guests who have endured all of the refurbishment and renovation at Disneyland Resort are in for many treats this summer, as the Parks announced three important opening dates today.

To kickoff Memorial Day weekend in a big way, Mickey’s Soundsational Parade is set to debut on Friday, May 27 at Disneyland Park.  The new parade will include bold percussion and rhythms, sure to get everyone dancing in the streets.  Billed as “an explosive music festival,” the celebration will feature live musicians and lots of opportunities for guest interaction.

On June 3, The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure will have its grand opening at Disney’s California Adventure.  The new attraction will take guests through an immersive experience that combines animatronics, music, and special effects, as they truly become part of Ariel’s world.  The opening of The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure marks another significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to expand and improve Disney’s California Adventure.

Also on June 3, guests will finally have the opportunity to venture to the far reaches of the universe when Star Tours – The Adventures Continue officially departs for Coruscant, Tatooine, and other exotic locales light years away from Disneyland’s Tomorrowland.  Find a mix of returning favorites and new familiar faces, as the journey launches in 3D!  (And don’t forget, East Coasters: Star Tours – The Adventures Continue also debuts at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World on Friday, May 20, just in time for Star Wars Weekends.)
