‘The Muppets’ Parody ‘Captain America’ in New Poster

In the past few months, we’ve seen Disney promote their upcoming film The Muppets by parodying some of the summer’s blockbuster movies, including The Hangover Part II and The Green Lantern. This week brought another instance of these hilarious cross-overs, with the release of this Captain America parody poster. The poster perfectly combines the ever-patriotic Sam Eagle and the newly released superhero film, produced by Disney-owned Marvel Studios. In a smart cross-promotional move for the two films, Sam reminds us that not heading to the movie theater to see these films would be distinctly unpatriotic.

Captain America: The First Avenger made its debuts in theaters Friday, June 22, earning an estimated $25.8 million at the box office its opening day, as well as favorable reviews. The film, which stars actor Chris Evans, is directed by Joe Johnston.

We’re so excited to see these new promotions keep coming out for The Muppets, and can’t wait to see what Disney has in store for us between now and the movie’s release on November 23. What do you think of what we’ve seen of The Muppets so far? Leave a comment and let us know!
