Catch a Sneak Peek of ‘Pete’s Dragon’ at Disney Parks this Summer

Guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney California Adventure have a chance to catch a sneak peek of the new Pete’s Dragon this summer!
Starting July 1 guests at both parks can see a sneak preview of the new live-action film.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios the preview will be part of the One Man’s Dream attraction and at Disney California Adventure it will be presented in 3D with special in-theater effects at the Sunset Showcase Theater in Hollywood Land.

Celebrate the Fourth of July at Walt Disney World Resort

If you’re thinking about spending the Fourth of July at the Walt Disney World Resort we have some details on the entertainment options throughout the theme parks.
The Magic Kingdom is celebrating with ‘Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky’ on July 3 and 4. The 14-minute fireworks show takes place both nights at 9 p.m. above Cinderella Castle.

Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media Launch New Product Line Inspired by ‘Elena of Avalor’

Disney Consumer Products recently launched a new product line inspired by the upcoming Disney Channel animated series Elena of Avalor.
The new series debuts on Disney Channel on July 22 and tells the story of Elena, a new princess in the kingdom of Avalor – a fairytale land inspired by Latin and Hispanic cultures and folklore.
The new Elena of Avalor products are currently available at the Disney Store, and additional products will be available at mass retailers starting in July. Licensees include Hasbro, Jakks, Amscan, Studio Fun, and Children’s Apparel Network.

Epcot Food & Wine Festival News: ‘The Chew’ Returns for Broadcast Dates and Booth

The Epcot Food and Wine Festival is still a couple months away – September 14 to be exact – but the news about the festival is starting to appear!
We’ve learned that ABC’s The Chew is returning to the festival this year to film several episodes of the daytime show. The cast of The Chew will be at Epcot on October 5-7 and the episodes will air October 10-14.
Co-hosts scheduled to appear during the taping include Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly, and Daphne Oz.

New ‘Savor the Savanna Evening Safari Experience’ Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

There’s a brand-new evening safari experience coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The ‘Savor the Savanna Evening Safari Experience’ is a premium guest experience that gives guests the chance experience Kilimanjaro Safaris after dark on a private safari vehicle.
The tour takes you around the savanna with a stop at an exclusive viewing area where guests will enjoy African-inspired tapas and regional beer and wine (for those 21 and older). Guests also receive a special keepsake as part of the tour.

‘Frozen Northern Lights’ Set to Debut as Animated Shorts, Books, and More

A brand new original story from the land of Arendelle – Frozen Northern Lights – is coming in July.
Frozen Northern Lights will be featured in a collection of books, animated shorts from LEGO Group, and other “digital extensions.”
The new animated shorts will air on Disney Channel this fall and will feature Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven in an “epic adventure to restore the glimmer of the Northern Lights.”

‘Frozen Ever After’ Opens at Epcot’s Norway Pavilion

Today, guests at Epcot had the chance to ride the new Frozen Ever After attraction – for the very first time (in forever).
According to several online reports the queue for the attraction was nearing a 300-minute wait (that’s five hours!) by mid-morning. The line stretched all the way to the Outpost bridge and back to China.

Marvel Announces New Merchandise Program Ahead of the 2017 Sequel to ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’

With the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel still months away, Marvel has already announced a “super-charged” merchandise program for the film.
The new merchandise program will offer “year-round support to the franchise” with a focus on young consumers. The program will include new toys, games, books, apparel, accessories, and more.
A slate of new Marvel Publishing titles is planned, as is a second season of the Disney XD Guardians of the Galaxy animated series.

Changes Coming to the 2017 Disney Dining Plans

Guests using the Disney Dining Plan in 2017 will notice some changes, specifically when it comes to desserts and snacks credits.
The Quick Service Dining Plan in 2017 will include the following for each guest 3 and older per night of your stay: two quick service meals (one entrée and one beverage), two snacks, and one refillable mug.

‘Finding Dory’ Sets Opening Weekend Record for Animated Film

Finding Dory set a new box office record for an opening weekend for animated films.
The sequel to Finding Nemo earned an estimated $136.2 million, earning it the No. 1 spot for the weekend.
Finding Dory earned $9.2 million Thursday night and $54 million on Friday, making this new box office record an easy one.
The Disney/Pixar film stars Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks as Dory and Marlin, reprising their roles from Finding Nemo (which was in theaters 13 years ago!).
