Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus Nominated for Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards

Disney will be well represented at the 2011 Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards.

“Hannah Montana” darling Miley Cyrus leads the pack for most nominations with 3 nods, including Best TV Actress, Best Movie Actress, and Best Female Singer.   Selena Gomez also performed well, with nominations for Best TV Actress for her series “The Wizards of Waverly Place,” as well as Best Female Singer.

Disney films were also well represented, as both “Alice in Wonderland” and “Toy Story 3” garnered votes for Favorite Movie and Favorite Animated Movie, respectively.  Both Tim Allen and Tom Hanks received nominations for their voice work in “Toy Story 3.”  Voters gave a nod to Johnny Depp for Favorite Movie Actor, while Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man 2’s Tony Stark received a nomination for perhaps the most colorful distinction, Favorite Butt-Kicker.

The 24th Annual Nickelodeon’s Kid’s Choice Awards, hosted by funnyman Jack Black, will air Saturday, April 2, at 8 p.m. EST on Nickelodeon.  Viewers can vote for their favorites in each category by logging onto nick.com.  Voting begins Monday, March 7.

  • I have to say that I adore Selena Gomez. She is the type of star that Walt would’ve liked. I hope that she avoids the pitfalls of other child stars. She really is a fabulous talent!
