New Ride, Shops and Restaurants Will Revamp Disney California Adventure’s Paradise Pier this Summer

The renovation and expansion of Disney California Adventure is still underway, and Goofy’s Sky School, several new restaurants and a unique souvenir shop will complete the Paradise Pier transformation Summer 2011. Another new ride, The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, will also debut this summer on June 3.
Goofy’s Sky School, which takes the spot of the former Mulholland Madness coaster, will take visitors through flying lessons conducted by Goofy himself. Guests will soar through the clouds on over 1200 feet of track, enjoying the lovable and often zany antics of …

Star Sighting:  Scotty McCreery and Mickey Mouse Greet Fans at Walt Disney World

Country singing sensation Scotty McCreery, who was crowned this year’s winner of American Idol, wowed guests yesterday on a victory parade through Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World.  The seventeen year old from Garner, North Carolina, rode down Hollywood Boulevard with none other Mickey Mouse himself, waving to excited fans.  After the parade, Scotty took the stage in front of “The American Idol Experience” attraction, and thanked fans for supporting him on the hit show.  Park guests were treated to a live performance of Scotty’s hit single, “I Love You This Big.”  …

New Updates Make Disneyland Hotel Better Than Ever

The historic Disneyland Hotel continues to wow guests with lots of new features and attractions.  Earlier this month, we told you about the opening of two new food and beverage fun spots, Tangaroa Terrace and Trader Sam’s – Enchanted Tiki Bar.  Yesterday, adding to the fun of the holiday weekend, Disneyland Hotel opened its brand new water play area as part of its continuing pool renovation.

Phineas and Ferb Meet and Greet Debuts at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Fans of the popular show Phineas and Ferb on the Disney Channel/Disney XD are in for a treat on their next trip to Walt Disney World. After being pushed back from its original opening date of May 16, guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios can now meet the show’s title characters themselves, in a new “play-and-greet” experience that makes its official debut at the park today.

‘American Idol’ Winner Scotty McCreery to Appear at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Seventeen year old Scotty McCreery, winner of this year’s season of American Idol, will visit Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios this week, Disney confirms.

Disney Cancels ‘Imagination Movers’

Disney has decided not to opt for a fourth season of the popular Imagination Movers TV series.
The show, which features Rich Collins, Scott Smith, Scott Durbin, and Dave Poche as a musical group who solves an “idea emergency” in each episode, premiered in September 2008, and quickly became one of the Disney Channel’s most popular series in the Playhouse Disney programming block.  The band has toured relentlessly in support of the show, which has been aired in more than 55 countries and territories, and translated into 12 languages.

Zach Braff in Talks to Join Cast of ‘Oz’

Another bright young star may be poised to join the cast of Oz:  The Great and Powerful, as word comes that Zach Braff is in talks to take a supporting role in the film.
Oz will be a prequel to the story we all grew up loving, and will tell the tale of a magician who attempts an escape via hot air balloon, only to be blown into an enchanted land, where sister witches are battling for control.

New ‘Fuzzy Pack’ Trailer Released for ‘The Muppets’

We love how much fun that Disney is having with the upcoming The Muppets release.
Earlier this week, we saw our very first glimpse of the upcoming movie, The Muppets, due out this Thanksgiving.  Today, we’re getting a little more information about what’s in store for audiences this fall, when the film, starring Jason Segel and Amy Adams, hits theatres.

First Still Available from Disney Pixar’s ‘Brave’

We have a copy of the first still available from the upcoming Disney Pixar release, Brave.  Thanks to The Pixar Blog for posting it. 
While it isn’t clear if the still comes from the teaser trailer that will be released with Cars 2, it is our first glimpse of Princess Merida, the heroine of the film, voiced by actress Kelly McDonald.
Brave is due in theatres during the summer of 2012.

Release Date Set for Disney’s “Oz: The Great and Powerful”

Disney has finally confirmed a release for their upcoming version of the classic Wizard of Oz, titled, “Oz: The Great and Powerful.” March 8, 2013, is the magical date when you and yours will be able to sneak a peek at this 3D picture, directed by Sam Raimi.
Starring James Franco (now confirmed), Mila Kunis, and possibly Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams, “Oz: The Great and Powerful” is a prequel to the story we all know and love. It tells of the famous wizard’s arrival in Oz, where he joins forces …
