Music Talent Show ‘N.B.T’ to Return for Fourth Season on October 14

Fans of Radio Disney and the Disney Channel will be in for a treat on October 14, as music talent show N.B.T. (Next Big Thing) will return for its fourth season that day. The 10-week competition, hosted by Jake Whetter, will feature five performers, each vying for the top prize: the opportunity to record an original single that will be released by Disney Music Group.
Throughout the competition, the competitors will have their music featured on Radio Disney and the Disney Channel. The competitors will also be interviewed by Radio Disney …

‘Tron: Uprising’ Trailer Debuts

This year’s Comic-Con 2011 brought the release of the newest trailer for the upcoming Disney XD series Tron: Uprising. The animated series will take place between the events of Tron and Tron: Legacy, and will feature the voice talents of Elijah Wood, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Mandy Moore, Paul Reubens, Lance Henriksen, and Bruce Boxleitner. Chiquita Announces Partnership with Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World and Chiquita Brands International announced a new partnership today, which will bring Chiquita and Fresh Express products to the Walt Disney World Resort and the Disney Cruise Line. This agreement will further both company’s commitments to providing consumers with healthy and fresh food options.

Dick Van Dyke & The Vantastix to Perform at D23 Expo

Guests attending the already jam-packed D23 Expo in a few weeks now have yet another exciting performance to look forward to. Kelly MacDonald Talks ‘Brave’

Audiences can currently see actress Kelly MacDonald on the big screen in the blockbuster hit Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, but in a recent interview, the Scottish actress took some time to discuss her work on the upcoming Pixar film Brave. ‘The Muppets’ Final Poster and Theater Standee Released

The new marketing push for the upcoming film The Muppets hasn’t let up for the past few months, and this week is no exception. ‘Oz The Great and Powerful’ Filming Underway in Michigan

Production began on Oz The Great and Powerful in Pontiac, Michigan, earlier this week.  The film, which stars James Franco as Oscar Diggs, a snake oil salesman and magician with questionable morals, serves as a prequel to the legendary film, The Wizard of Oz.  Joining Franco will be Mila Kunis and Rachel Weisz as witch sisters Theodora and Evanora, respectively, with Michelle Williams cast in the role of good witch sister Glinda.  Zach Braff will also co-star.

Familiar Stores Making Way for Changes at Disney California Adventure

In line with the continued billion dollar renovation to Disney California Adventure Park at Disneyland Resort, a couple of well known stores will close shortly to make way for new retail spaces.
If you’re a fan of Engine-Ears Toys, you may want to make a final swing-through immediately.  The toy store, which features an area where guests can make their own Mr. Potato Head doll, will close permanently on Sunday, July 31.  (The popular dolls will be available in other locations, to be announced later.)
