Is ‘Finding Nemo 2’ in Development?

As we continue to look forward to the re-release of the Disney-Pixar classic Finding Nemo in 3D later this summer, news is now coming that Finding Nemo 2 may very well be in the development stages.
While details are sketchy at present and Pixar has declined to comment, Deadline.com has reported that John Carter director Andrew Stanton, who also wrote and directed the original film, will be returning to the director’s chair for another installment in the saga of Marlin, Nemo, and Friends.  In addition, Hollywood Reporter is expanding with additional …

Star Sighting:  Brad Garrett Visits Disneyland with Family

Brad Garrett, actor and the voice behind many of Disney’s most beloved supporting characters of late, recently visited Disneyland Park with his family.  Garrett posed for a picture in front of the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage at Disneyland – an attraction that features Bloat, the blowfish that he voiced for Finding Nemo!
Garrett has brought characters to life in Tangled (Hook Hand, the world famous concert pianist!) and Ratatouille‘s floating ghost of a chef, Gusteau.  Next, he’ll be featured in Planes,a Disney animated feature that draws inspiration from the Disney Pixar …

Pixar Postage Stamps Now Available

Addressing that letter and mailing it just got slightly more enjoyable.
Originally announced late last year, United States postage stamps depicting characters from Pixar films went on sale last Friday.  The US Postal Service states that it has printed is printing 200 million stamps to meet the anticipated demand from consumers and collectors alike.

Billy Crystal Discusses Upcoming ‘Monsters University’

We’re learning a little more about the much-anticipated prequel Monsters University, and thanks to one of the stars of the film, Billy Crystal.
Crystal, who voices monster Mike Wazowski in the film, says that he’s already enjoying his time on the Disney Pixar film:

Lawsuit Over Disney Pixar ‘Cars’ Franchise Dismissed

The lawsuit against Disney Pixar regarding Cars that we previously told you about has been dismissed by U.S. District Court judge in California.
Jake Mandeville-Anthony, a British screenwriter, had filed the lawsuit last spring, alleging that Pixar had infringed on his copyright by stealing the idea for the Cars franchise from him.  In the lawsuit, Mandeville-Anthony stated that he sent copies of his work, created twenty years ago, to Disney, and he met with a Lucasfilm executive who would later become a manager with Pixar.

Disney Pixar Confirms Second ‘Monsters Inc.’ Film is a Prequel

News that we first brought to you in January has now been confirmed:  Disney Pixar said Tuesday that their followup to the smash hit Monsters, Inc., originally referred to as Monsters, Inc. 2, will be a prequel.  The title of the new film is Monsters University, the company shared at CinemaCon, held this week in Las Vegas.
The latest installment in the Monsters, Inc. franchise will tell the story of how Sulley and Mike Wazowski forged their friendship while classmates at Monstropolis’ University of Fear, with a few interesting twists thrown in.

New Details Emerge about Disney Pixar’s ‘Brave’

New concept art from Disney Pixar’s upcoming “Brave” was posted at Entertainment Weekly online earlier this week, and gives fans an eyeful of the amazing scenes we can expect to see when the feature arrives June 22, 2012. In addition to the artwork, EW’s piece also mentioned several more details about the film, including the fact that Reese Witherspoon won’t be voicing the lead character Princess Merida. Due to scheduling issues, Witherspoon was replaced with Scottish actress Kelly Macdonald.

Video:  Two New ‘Cars 2’ Trailers Released for Domestic and British Audiences

Today, we have not one, but two new “Cars 2” trailers for your viewing enjoyment! Chock full of action, the first was released yesterday and is intended for American audiences, while the second was made available via Walt Disney Studios UK on YouTube, and is specifically geared toward that market.
