Chase Launches New Disney’s Premier Visa Card

For years, Disney fans have been able to earn valuable rewards for their Disney vacations with the Disney Visa Credit Card from Chase. This week, Disney and Chase announced a new upgrade to the popular credit card that both new and current card holders are sure to be excited about. Marvel’s ‘Avengers’ Will Assemble for Global Tweet Up January 31

Marvel Studios has announced that The Avengers will be assembling…on Twitter!  The studio will sponser a Global Twitter Chat on Tuesday, January 31, from 11:00-11:30 a.m. PST.  Participating in the live chat will be writer/director Joss Whedon as well as cast members Tom Hiddleston (Loki in Thor) and Clark Gregg (Agent Phil Coulson in the Iron Man series.)

Star Sighting: Tom Cruise Takes Daughter Suri to Disneyland

After wrapping up filming on his latest movie, Tom Cruise took daughter Suri to Disneyland and treated her to a fun-filled day at the park.
Suri and her father rode the teacups, the Storybook boat ride, and the carousel and she was even seen sporting a pair of Minnie Mouse ears with a veil and had her face painted.
The crowds definitely stopped to do a double take when the famous father daughter duo walked by, but it looks like Tom Cruise and Suri had a blast at the park!

Disney XD’s ‘Goalmouth’ Returning for Second Season

Disney XD announced they will be making a second season of their football-themed entertainment show Goalmouth, a boy-focused channel for kids ages 6 to 14. Adam Gendle and Tim Warwood will return as hosts, and the second season will feature 12 episodes for 2012.

No Representative of Jobs Estate Will Serve on Disney Board

Sources have reported that no representative for the estate of the late Steve Jobs will serve on the Walt Disney Company’s board of directors.
Despite the fact that the estate is Disney’s largest shareholder, with 7.7 percent of the company’s common stock, papers filed by Disney last Friday say that no one will be serving on the board on Jobs’ behalf. His widow is not a candidate, nor are any other representatives of the estate. As of this writing, no word has been heard from Disney about this news.

ABC Orders Pilot for ‘Beauty and the Beast’ TV Show

Sources say that Disney-owned ABC has ordered a pilot for a Beauty and the Beast TV show, which has been described by Jericho’s Jonathan Steinberg as “a fantastical re-imagining of the classic fairy tale set in a mythical, dangerous world wherein a beautiful and tough Princess discovers an unlikely connection with a mysterious beast.”

Transition Relationship of SOAPnet and Disney Junior Further Clarified

Many fans of SOAPnet have recently been concerned over the news that one of their favorite channels would abruptly stop broadcasting its usual programming on March 23, as it made way for the brand new Disney Junior channel.  However, sources from SOAPnet have reached out to DisZine to explain that the transition would be more gradual.
While SOAPnet will eventually go away, there will be no “hard stop” to its broadcasts.  Rather, SOAPnet and Disney Junior will run concurrently for a period of transition.  More information was shared in this article …

Romantic Surprises in Store for Disney’s ‘The Magic, The Memories and You!’

Disneyland park’s The Magic, The Memories, and You! nighttime spectacular will be featuring a special segment to debut February 1, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Inspired by some of the most romantic moments in Disney animation, Cinderella’s Castle and it’s a small world will be covered in roses during one sequence, while transforming into a star-filled sky during another segment of the show. Additionally, stained glass windows will appear on the facades of the attractions depicting Belle, Cinderella and Snow White’s romantic stories.

Selena Gomez Holds her Second Annual UNICEF Concert

Now that Selena Gomez’s stint on Wizards of Waverly Place has come to an end, the former Disney darling  unveiled a daring new hairstyle (blue and purple extensions) as well as a more mature fashion sense as she arrived at the House of Blues in West Hollywood last Friday.
