Star Sighting: Freddie Prinze, Jr., and Sarah Michelle Gellar Get a Sneak Peek at Disneyland’s Fantasy Faire

Star couple Freddie Prinze, Jr., and Sarah Michelle Gellar recently treated their 3-year old daughter, Charlotte, to a fun-filled day at Disneyland Park. While there, the family had the chance to preview the brand new Fantasy Faire area in Fantasyland.
The new village square, set to open to the public on March 12, will feature a princess meet and greet experience, as well as a theatre for live productions.
During the family’s visit, Rapunzel appeared to have her picture taken with them.

Star Sighting: Washington Nationals’ Bryce Harper Goes to Disney World

It’s spring time in Florida, and that can mean just one thing: Spring Training!
And with so many ball players in the Sunshine State, you’re bound to have a few show up at the Happiest Place on Earth.
This past weekend, Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper was spotted taking in some fun batting practice with Mickey himself.  Harper, who was the National League’s 2012 Rookie of the Year, posed with Mickey at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex this past weekend.

‘Tomorrowland’ Plot Revealed?

Up to now, the plot for Tomorrowland, a Disney film that’s being developed by director Brad Bird of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol fame, has been kept tightly under wraps. But several sources are suggesting they have gotten their hands on a leaked synopsis for the story.

Disney to Partner with Vera Bradley on New Handbag and Accessory Line

If you are a Disney fan or a Vera Bradley fan — or both — we are about to make your day.
Disney has announced a partnership with handbag and accessory maven Vera Bradley that will bring a line of Disney-inspired handbags and accessories to the parks this fall. And just in time for the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival, which opens today, guests can stop by Festival Center to get a glimpse of the bags.

Rumor: Disney Springs to Replace Proposed Hyperion Wharf Development at Downtown Disney Orlando

According to a post at Walt Disney World News Today, the entire Downtown Disney area in Walt Disney World may soon be getting some much needed attention.
The post includes several photos from a leaked source that detail plans for an area called Disney Springs. The new plan appears to unify the three distinct areas of present day Downtown Disney, while also providing the area formerly known as Pleasure Island with a much needed overhaul.

Alex Timbers to Direct New Musical Film for Disney

This week, it was announced that Disney is currently developing a new musical film, which is described as a contemporary adaptation of a Shakespeare play. At the helm will be director Alex Timbers, a two-time Tony nominee who recently directed Peter and the Starcatcher for Disney.
Timbers is a well-known Broadway director whose work, in addition to Starcatcher, includes the Broadway shows Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (which Timbers also co-wrote) and The Pee-Wee Herman Show. ‘Henry Hugglemonster’ to Debut on Disney Junior April 15

In 2011, we let you know that a new Disney Junior show was in the works by Disney and Brown Bag Films. Now, the long-awaited series will finally be making its debut in the US, as it was recently announced that Henry Hugglemonster will debut on Disney Junior April 15.
The new series, which is aimed at children ages 2-7, focuses on Henry Hugglemonster, a 5-year-old middle child in a happy, close-knit monster family. Through Henry’s adventures and everyday encounters, children will learn positive life lessons about family and community relationships.

Disneyland Paris Announces ‘Ratatouille’ Attraction, Update to ‘Disney Dreams’

Last year, we let you know that Disneyland Paris was beginning work on a brand-new attraction based on the Pixar film Ratatouille. This week, Disney finally officially confirmed the new attraction, which is set to open in Disneyland Resort Paris’ Walt Disney Studios Park in 2014.
