If you happen to be spending Thanksgiving week at the Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland, you’ll find more than just turkey legs when you’re craving a holiday-themed treat.

Sales of Disney-branded Fruits, Vegetables, and Snacks Has Tripled in Last Two Years

It’s been three years since Disney launched its company-wide Disney Magic of Healthy Living initiative and in the past two years sales of Disney-branded healthy snacks has tripled.
Disney Consumer Products has created Disney-branded fruits, vegetables, snacks, and lunches as part of the Magic of Healthy Living initiative. The products include Foodles snack packs with fruits and cheese, Crunch Paks featuring fresh fruit, and Marvel-themed Snackers packs that feature fruits, cheese, and pretzels.
More than 3.1 billion servings of Disney-branded fruits and vegetables have been sold since the Magic of Healthy Living …

‘Frozen’ Merchandise Debuts at Disney Parks Just in Time for Film’s Release Next Week

With just one week to go before Frozen is released in theaters nationwide, a new line of merchandise featuring characters from the film has debuted at the Disney Parks.
Disney Theme Park Merchandise has teamed with the Disney Store to create new Disney Animator’s dolls featuring Anna and Elsa, and there is also a new plush Olaf the Snowman toy and Sven the reindeer.
Pin collectors will want to get the limited edition opening day pin that is being release at select locations at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. …

Spice Road Table Set to Open Soon in Epcot’s Morocco Pavilion

A new table service location is set to open in the Morocco Pavilion at Epcot.
Spice Road Table is located on along the World Showcase Lagoon, giving diners a perfect viewing spot for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. The restaurant will be serving a variety of Moroccan small plates and specialty drinks.
Some of the dishes include zesty harissa chicken drumettes, an omelet with sausage, potatoes, and caramelized onions, mussels with preserved lemons and tomato sauce baked in a tagine pot, and jumbo shrimp in a spicy chile pepper sauce.

Disney Junior Celebrates the Holidays with Themed Episodes of Shows and Special Guest Stars

Disney Junior is celebrating the holidays this year with special episodes of some of the network’s hit shows and special guest stars.
On Sunday, December 1 on the 24-hour Disney Junior network, Jeffrey Tambor and Tony Hale (both from Arrested Development) reprise their roles as Santa and Tobias the elf on Doc McStuffins. In the episode Tobias accidentally breaks a piece of Danny’s Christmas present so Doc and the toys travel to Santa’s workshop to find a replacement part.

Disney Cruise Line Announces Changes to Onboard Booking Policy for Guests

Disney Cruise Line has a new onboard booking policy for guests.
The changes announced last week affect guests who are booking a future cruise while onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship.
The new policy states that guests must complete their travel within 18 months of booking in order to maintain the benefits they receive for booking while onboard the ship. The benefits include 10 percent off rates quoted on disneycruise.com, up to $200 in onboard credits per stateroom, and a reduced deposit on sailings of 7 nights or longer.

‘Thor: The Dark World’ Dominates at Box Office and The Walt Disney Studios Reach All-Time Global Box Office High

For the second weekend in a row, Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World topped the box office bringing in nearly $40 million.
The film – which cost $170 million to make – has earned $147 million at the domestic box office so far. Internationally the sequel has grossed $332.9 million, and $470.8 million worldwide. Marvel’s Thor earned $181 million domestically and $449 million worldwide.
At its current pace, the film should easily earn more than $700 million worldwide.

Walt Disney’s Daughter, Diane Disney Miller, Dies at Age 79

Diane Disney Miller, the eldest daughter of Walt Disney, died Tuesday at the age of 79. She had suffered a fall at her home in September.
Disney Miller was well-known for her philanthropic work, and was also recognized as one of the inspirations for Disneyland, along with her sister Sharon.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Diane Disney Miller and our thoughts are with her family during this difficult time,” said Disney president and CEO Bob Iger in a statement. “As the beloved daughter of Walt Disney and one of …
