Julie Andrews and Target Collaborate with Disney to Announce the First Annual National Princess Week

Best-selling children’s author, actress and singer Julie Andrews has announced a collaboration with Target and The Walt Disney Company to introduce the first annual National Princess Week, which will launch April 22, 2012.
In support of Andrews’s dedication to “nurturing every child’s unique spirit,” National Princess Week will be dedicated to celebrating the imaginations and beautiful spirit of every princess – be it real or imagined. Says Andrews:

Disney-ABC Extends Licensing Deal with Netflix and Amazon

Disney-ABChas extended their licensing deal with Netflix, while creating a separate deal with Amazon to stream Disney content. With the extended Netflix contract, new episodes of Disney-ABC series like Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives and others will be available via their streaming service 30 days after air. Other television shows from ABC, ABC Family and the Disney Channel will also be available for streaming.

Noah Fine Art Collective to Debut New Muppet Collection at Diseyland’s Downtown Disney

We just can’t wait for The Muppets to debut in theaters on November 23, and Disney has recently announced some special merchandise that will be coming to the parks to celebrate the upcoming film. The artist Noah, together with two of his favorite collaborative artists, Dez Einswell and Jon Chase, will bring the amazing Muppet characters that we know and love to life in a new collection. ‘Toy Story 3’ Writer Michael Arndt to Pen Script for ‘Phineas and Ferb’ Feature Film

Star Sighting: ‘Good Luck Charlie’ Stars Celebrate Halloween Time at Disneyland Park

Leigh-Allyn Baker and Bradley Steven Perry from Disney Channel’s hit series Good Luck Charlie stopped by Disneyland park last week for some frightfully good fun with Mickey and Goofy.
Kim, Bradley’s real-life mom, was also on hand for the festivities – this was the first time any of them had experienced Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. Sources say that, despite the Halloween-themed Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy attractions, both of them were most excited about experiencing Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.

Walt Disney World Restaurants to Charge No-Show Diners

Yesterday, Disney instituted a policy to help crack down on guests who fail to show up to their dinner reservations. Now, guests who want to eat at one of Disney’s fine dining restaurants will be asked for a credit card when making their reservation.
If a party fails to show up or neglects to cancel within 24 hours of the reservation, a fee of $10 per person will be charged to their credit card. According to park officials, 19 signature restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort have adopted this policy, …

John Lasseter to Get Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Disney/Pixar’s Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter will be getting his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The director of Toy Story and Cars will be honored during a special ceremony in front of the El Capitan Theatre November 1 at 11:30 a.m., where he will receive his star and become star number 2,453 on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Currently, Lasseter is overseeing the creation of Cars Land, an addition to Disney’s California Adventure theme park set to debut next summer. He also directed this year’s Cars 2.
