Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival Announces HGTV Lineup

With only a few short weeks to go, Disney has released the full lineup of HGTV personalities coming to the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.
While there are some returning favorites to Disney’s popular festival, there will also be several new faces on hand to give their expert DIY tips and tricks to festival-goers. The complete lineup includes:

March 8-10 – Chris Lambton, Going Yard
March 15-17 – Chris Grundy, DIY Network’s Cool Tools

JJ Abrams Officially Signed On As Director of ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’

A few days ago, we let you know that it was reported that J.J. Abrams has signed on to be the director of the next installment in the Star Wars franchise, Star Wars: Episode VII. Now, Disney and Lucasfilm have officially confirmed that Abrams will serve as director, as well as a producer, on the highly-anticipated film.

‘Mary Poppins’ to Close on Broadway This March, ‘Aladdin’ to Arrive On Broadway Spring 2014

Disney will be saying goodbye to one of its Broadway productions this spring, as Disney Theatrical Productions has officially announced that Mary Poppins will be closing on Broadway this March. However, the Disney-owned New Amsterdam Theatre will not be empty for too long, as the musical adaptation of Disney’s Aladdin will arrive on Broadway in 2014.

Fans of the hit Disney Channel show Wizards of Waverly Place will get to see their favorite characters return to television once again this spring in the new special The Wizards Return: Alex Vs. Disney California Adventure to Offer Extended Hours for Annual Passholders in February

With the recent opening of Cars Land and Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure, the park is now facing more crowds and longer wait times than ever before. Next month, however, Disneyland Annual Passholders will be able to experience the park in a much less crowded way. In February, Disney California Adventure will be open to passholders each Thursday after the park closes.

‘Iron Man 3’ to Be Released in Imax 3D

The release of Marvel Studios’ next feature film, Iron Man 3, is just a few months away now, and we can’t wait to see what the new film has in store. Recently, Disney and Imax announced that audiences will be able to enjoy the film’s theatrical release in Imax 3D.
Iron Man 3 will be the fourth Marvel film to be digitally remastered for Imax 3D for its theatrical release, with Iron Man 2, Thor, and The Avengers all previously released in Imax 3D.

Disney Junior Invites Fans of ‘Jake and The Never Land Pirates’ to Celebrate Jake’s First Birthday

To celebrate Jake’s first birthday, Disney Junior is inviting fans of Jake and The Never Land Pirates to create video birthday greetings, which may appear on Disney Channel and Disney Junior.
On January 31, parents can log on to DisneyJunior.com/JakesBirthday to download and print a greeting card which will be used in the videotaped submission. All videos will be posted on DisneyJunior.com, and some of them will be chosen to appear on air from February 25 to March 1, 2013.

Walt Disney World Moms Panel Gets Name Change

Sources have announced that the Walt Disney World Moms Panel has received a name change: The Disney Parks Moms Panel.
In addition to the name change, Disney has also released the list of the 19 new members who have joined the ever-expanding panel. For 2013, the company has also added two Team Sports Moms who will help assist guests with all youth-related activities at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
